Head of Finance (Future CFO Track) — Hotelogix

Overview
Hotelogix is a global cloud hospitality SaaS platform operating globally. Headquartered in
Singapore, our operations are in India between Noida and Bangalore. As we scale forward in our
journey, we’re seeking a high-caliber Finance head who can lead FP&A, controllership, and business
finance with the vision and drive of a future CFO. This role is designed for a finance leader who can
move seamlessly between financial planning, investor relations and operational
precision—someone who will shape financial excellence, investor confidence, and long-term
enterprise value.
Outcomes
1. Build an investor-ready finance engine: Deliver accurate, forward-looking insights through
rolling forecasts, variance analysis, and SaaS metrics dashboards.
2. Establish governance and compliance maturity: Clean audit, zero material findings,
documented RevRec and accounting policies, inter-company hygiene.
3. Maintain and continuously improvise on SaaS metrics that can drive business decisions and
valuation outcome.
4. M&A preparedness: Diligence-ready data room with indexed files across finance, legal, HR,
tax, and customer contracts.
5. Cash optimization: Tight collections, improved DSO, disciplined burn, and clear visibility on
EBITDA trajectory.
6. Enable cross-functional financial decisioning: Finance as a strategic business partner to
Sales, Ops, and Product.
Core Responsibilities
Strategic Finance & FP&A
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning; deliver actionable variance analysis to
leadership.
• Develop and refine unit economics across products, markets, and customer segments (SMB vs
Mid-Market Enterprise).
• Partner with GTM teams on pricing, pipeline quality, and revenue performance; identify levers
for margin expansion.
• Own board reporting: monthly SaaS scorecard, KPI bridges (ARR, GM, EBITDA, Cash), and
investment narrative.
• Play active role in the company on decisions relating to capital allocation, growth investments,
and valuation modeling.
Controllership & Compliance
Oversee monthly and quarterly closes, ensure robust reconciliations and accounting
accuracy.
Modernize chart of accounts and implement scalable finance systems (ERP, billing,
collections, expense tools).
Drive statutory compliance across GST, TDS, FEMA, inter-company agreements, transfer
pricing, and group audits.
Revenue Operations, Collections and Payables
Govern pricing, discounting, and commissions; align bookings, billings, and cash.
Monitor deferred revenue, receivables aging, and implement proactive collection drives.
Partner with Sales/CS to reduce Outstandings/Payables under control.
M&A Readiness & Investor Engagement
Maintain an always-ready data room—organized, current, and diligence-proof.
Lead diligence preparation sprints—financial normalization, KPI validation, variance bridge,
and red-flag resolution.
Support investor/buyer modeling with normalized P&Ls, cohort data, and synergy
assessments.
Act as the financial storyteller for investors, highlighting growth levers and de-risking
narrative.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, ensuring capability growth and
ownership mindset.
Establish policies, controls, and approval workflows across procurement, expenses, and
credit notes.
Build a culture of financial transparency and strategic partnership with other business units.
Groom and position yourself as the next-generation CFO, capable of managing investor
relationships and capital strategy.
Candidate Profile
15+ years total experience, with at least 5+ years in finance leadership roles.
Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA-Finance from a top institution.
Proven experience managing FP&A, controllership, and audit in a high-growth environment.
Deep understanding of SaaS metrics, revenue operations, and B2B subscription economics.
Hands-on with Excel/BI tools and comfortable adopting new finance tech stacks.
Strong communication and executive presence—able to influence board discussions and
cross-functional leaders.
Ambitious, detail-driven, and motivated to evolve into a CFO role within 2–3 years.
